Ceretek was founded by Maniv to contribute to the discovery of therapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer and other serious disease specifically through a recently characterized subset of the G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs). In 2003 Ceretek licensed its technology to SRI International which continues to work toward the goal of discovering valuable therapeutics related to GCPRs.
NASDAQ: KERX Keryx Biopharmaceuticals uses data discovered through the mapping of the human genome to generate drug candidates that target the regulation of protein kinases. Protein kinases play a key role in the way cells communicate. The Company's KinAce platform has produced 13 lead compounds, eight of which have already produced positive results in animal (in vivo) tests. In addition to developing drug candidates with its KinAce platform, the Company has an exclusive license to sulodexide (KRX-101) in North America, Japan and other important markets, and is developing it for the treatment of a kidney disease known as diabetic nephropathy. To date, none of Keryx's drug candidates has received approval for sale in any market. link
